Three new Centers of Excellence at the University of Warsaw

Over PLN 90 million for breakthrough innovations. The University of Warsaw has launched three new research centres funded by the Foundation for Polish Science under the International Research Agendas Programme. Prof. Paweł Dłotko, Prof. Ryszard Buczyński, and Prof. Magdalena Stobińska-Moretto will lead teams focusing on trustworthy AI for life sciences, structured optical fibres, and hybrid quantum technologies. ➜

FNP: PLN 30 million for a quantum technology development center at UW

Prof. Magdalena Stobińska-Moretto will head the newly established QLAB unit. The center, funded by the Foundation for Polish Science, will focus on the development of secure quantum networks, energy-efficient artificial intelligence, and ultrasensitive measurement methods. Dr. hab. Magdalena Stobińska-Moretto will head a new research unit at the University of Warsaw. The Center for Hybrid Quantum-Classical Information Technologies (QLAB) has received PLN 30 million from the Foundation for Polish Science. Prof. Magdalena Stobińska-Moretto and Prof. Ryszard Buczyński will head two innovative centers under the International Research Agendas (MAB) program. Breakthrough in the EuroHPC Initiative: First Successful Integration of a Supercomputer with a Quantum Platform

The EuroHPC consortium has announced a historic success: the computing power of a classical supercomputer has been successfully combined with a quantum system to execute a complex hybrid algorithm. This is a giant leap for European science. For the QLAB Center, it validates our direction.
